Stonepeak Ceramics, part of the Italian-based Graniti Fiandre Group, made its first U.S. investment of over $50 million with the construction of this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Crossville, Tennessee. The plant produces the first large-format ceramic tiles in the U.S. market, sized up to 2’ x 3’, setting a new benchmark for innovation and quality in porcelain tile production.
T.W. Frierson provided construction management services for the building shell and concrete package, which included extensive foundation and pit work to accommodate the plant’s specialized production equipment. The complex, multi-building layout featured varying heights, multiple corners, and canopy structures, each requiring precise coordination and execution.
The facility utilizes a Butler Manufacturing pre-engineered metal building system with an MR-26 standing seam roof, designed for long-term durability, energy efficiency, and ease of maintenance. T.W. Frierson’s disciplined project management and technical expertise ensured the successful delivery of this advanced manufacturing environment, supporting Stonepeak’s growth and production capabilities in the North American tile market.
