Florim USA, operating under the TileCera brand at the time, represents one of the most significant porcelain tile manufacturing investments in North America. T.W. Frierson played a pivotal role in the facility’s development, serving as the single point of responsibility not only for building construction but also for the complete installation of all production equipment, a rare scope of work in industrial construction.

The initial phase encompassed the installation of raw material handling systems, ball mills, delivery hoppers, conveyor systems, spray driers, and prill storage tanks, along with the precise placement of presses, glaze lines, kilns, and refractory systems. T.W. Frierson’s integrated approach ensured full coordination between building design and process equipment, resulting in a seamless, highly efficient production environment from raw materials to finished goods.

Since completion of the original phase, the Florim facility has tripled in size through multiple expansions, now exceeding 1,000,000 square feet of production and storage space. Positioned to continue its North American growth trajectory, the company’s next phase includes plans to double the existing capacity, further reinforcing this site as a cornerstone of the U.S. tile manufacturing industry.
